Leeds United will begin their pre-season campaign with a short trip to Guiseley on Saturday – and there are set to be a number of new faces in the team as the club’s transfer blitz continues.

The Yorkshire giants have already made three new signings this summer and reports suggest they are working furiously behind the scenes on a number of other eyecatching deals.

Meanwhile, two loan departures have been confirmed in the last 24 hours, with midfielder Luke Murphy joining Championship rivals Burton Albion for the season and right-back Lewie Coyle heading to League One outfit Fleetwood Town, where he will work under ex-Leeds boss Uwe Rosler.

With a number of senior players set to return later to pre-season following international duty, new managerĀ Thomas Christiansen is likely to give the opportunities to fringe men as well as new signings.

Amid reports that progress is being made on a number of transfers, there is likely to be a surprise or two in the starting XI that Christiansen names on Saturday afternoon.
