Felix Wiedwald – goalkeeper

German goalkeeper Felix Wiedwald signed for a fee of around £500,000 on Friday of last week and is set to compete with Rob Green for the No1 spot in the upcoming campaign. The 27-year-old former Werder Bremen man could be handed his first taste of English football against Guiseley in what would be a gentle introduction. His battle with Green for a starting place in the Championship opener against Bolton on 6 August promises to be a tasty one.
