Leeds have handed Charlie Taylor the maximum punishment available after he refused to play for the club, according to a reliable journalist.
Yorkshire Evening Post correspondent Phil Hay has claimed on his personal Twitter account that the 23-year-old has been fined two weeks wages after refusing to play against Wigan in the final game of the Championship.
It is understood that the Whites have given the defender the worst possible punishment for making a decision that made supporters furious at the time.

I would have made him sit in the office with Eddie Gray etc,and let them give him a lesson in Leeds Utd & what it means to play for them…?

At the end of the day his attitude is a disgrace considering all Leeds have done for him, better off without players like that. ???

Taylor made the rash decision at the end of the campaign and he looks like leaving Elland Road on a sour note, despite graduating through the club’s academy as a youngster.
Hay further revealed on Twitter that Premier League side West Brom are trying to get a deal completed for the Leeds rebel and the fee is expected to be between £3million and £5million.

The left-back is out of contract with the Yorkshire club at the end of the season, but Leeds are set to receive compensation money from his departure because he is under 24.
He has made 104 senior appearances for the club and looks like he won’t play again for them.
Garry Monk does have versatile full-back Gaetano Berardi in his squad who could replace him, or he could look to the transfer market to replace the left-back.
