Celtic are considering a summer move for playmaker Srdan Plavsic, according to a report.

The Daily Mail claim that manager Brendan Rodgers wants to buy a winger, central midfielder and a central defender before their Champions League qualifiers in July.

It is understood that the Bhoys have identified Red Star Belgrade winger Plavsic, who has been in strong form for the Serbian champions.

The report details that the 21-year-old has caught the attention of Celtic and is likely to command a fee of £1.5million, while Turkish side Bursaspor are also believed to be interested.

Plasvsic has been in good form this season during his 33 appearances, scoring eight goals and supplying five assists in return.

The wide man earned a move to Red Star last season after an equally impressive spell with fellow Serbian top flight club Spartak Subotica.

He managed 13 assists during the 2015/16 campaign and his creativity is something that Rodgers is keen on exploiting.

Plavsic has five international caps for Serbia’s Under-21s side and is a highly-rated youngster.

Celtic are losing influential winger Patrick Roberts and Rodgers may be looking to fill the void left by the Manchester City loanee.

The report details that the manager is keen to get the deals wrapped up before their Champions League qualification, which forces their season to start early in July.
