West Brom manager Tony Pulls has revealed that he is keen to secure the signature of Leeds defender Charlie Taylor and would rather avoid a tribunal.

The Baggies have been frequently linked with the Whites first teamer and Pulls has admitted he has been on the radar of the Midlands club.

However, he feels that they are one of several teams to be interested in the 23-year-old and there is still a long way to go.

Pulis stated that West Brom are keen to try secure a deal for Taylor, who is out of contract at Elland Road in June.

The Birmingham Mail have reported that the Premier League side may have to pay a fee of between £4million and £7million for Taylor’s signature, but the deal could still be decided by a tribunal.

“There’s a lot of clubs interested in Charlie Taylor, we’re not the only one,” Pulis said, as quoted by Sky Sports. “He’s been on our radar for a bit but it could go to a tribunal between the two clubs.

“Our club would rather try to sort out a deal with Leeds if we’re going to do it than go to a tribunal. There’s still a lot of air in that bag before anything’s achieved.”

Taylor looks set to get his desired move away from the Yorkshire club this summer and he leaves on a controversial note.

The left-back refused to play in the club’s last game of the season away to Wigan and manager Garry Monk feels he was “poorly advised”.

The academy graduate has made 104 senior appearances since breaking into the first team and was the club’s Player of the Year for the 2015/16 campaign.

However, he is now keen to experience Premier League football and West Brom are looking to wrap up a deal for his signature.
