Leeds fans have hailed the club on Twitter after the confirmation that young star Ronaldo Vieira has signed a new four-year deal with the famous side.
The Yorkshire giants announced the contract extension on their official website on Wednesday afternoon.
The 18-year-old midfield enforcer has been a regular in Garry Monk’s team this season, playing in 38 matches in all competitions, returning one goal while also providing one himself.
He is considered one of Leeds’ brightest prospects and he has played 39 times for the club in total after joining the academy in 2015 having previously played for Portuguese giants Benfica.
Fans of the famous club are clearly delighted to see their side tie up their young players to new deals and many have posted their delight on social media.
A number stated “brilliant” and “fantastic,” while others commented that it was a “great signing” for the club.

Vieira played a key role in helping Leeds achieve a seventh placed finish this season.
He will now be looking to help the club take one step further in the next campaign while he will also be looking for a similar run in the first team.
