Huddersfield goalkeeper Danny Ward has shared a video on his personal Twitter account containing the song “Leeds are staying down and the Town are going up.”

The Terriers won promotion to the Premier League for the first time on Monday afternoon as they ran out penalty victors against Reading at Wembley after finishing in fifth and earning a place in this season’s play-offs.

Their placing saw Huddersfield finish six points and two positions above Leeds in seventh with the Whites just missing out on the promotion spots after spending the majority of the campaign within the top six.

Now, two days after their famous victory goalkeeper Ward posted on his Twitter account on Wednesday “couldn’t help myself, enjoy Terriers” containing a video of the song Huddersfield have used to berate Leeds.

Leeds and Huddersfield have not typically been rivals, but due to playing in the same league alongside competing for the play-offs the two Yorkshire-based clubs have built up some animosity this season.

Now, while the Terriers are basking in their glory those at the Whites are gearing up for another competitive Championship campaign where they will be looking to go one further and achieve a play-off spot.

But, with the departure of manager Garry Monk the next campaign could prove to be another difficult task for the prestigious club.
