According to The Daily Mail, Arsenal are continuing to monitoring Marcelo Allende; whilst The Metro report that Chelsea could terminate Alexandre Pato’s loan spell at Stamford Bridge.

The Chilean midfielder, who captains his country at U17 level, has already been compared to countryman Alexis Sanchez, having begun his career at the same club as the Arsenal ace – Cobreloa – before moving onto Sport Santa Cruz.

The 16-year-old recently underwent a two-week trial in north London and although Arsene Wenger’s side have not agreed a permanent deal, they are continuing to monitor his progress. Allende is regarded as one of Chilean football’s most exciting prospects, but has been warned he must mature physically to become a star in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, The Metro – citing reports from Brazilian outlet Lance – allege Chelsea could terminate Alexandre Pato’s loan spell at Stamford Bridge, without him making a single appearance since moving to west London from Corinthians during the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old arrived in the Premier League unfit, due to the Brazilian season ending at the start of December 2015, and has resultantly been put on a special training regime to get him up to speed. But the Premier League champions are reportedly unhappy with the lack of commitment Pato has shown in returning to full fitness and could resultantly decide to cancel his six-month deal.
