Jerome Sinclair

According to talkSPORT, Watford have won the race to sign Liverpool’s Jerome Sinclair on a free transfer; whilst The Daily Mail and Mundo Deportivo report that Barcelona are targeting Chelsea duo Andreas Christensen and Kenedy respectively.

The Hornets came close to signing the 19-year-old striker, who switched agents to the controversial Aidy Ward earlier in the season, during the January transfer window, put were reportedly put off by Liverpool’s £3million valuation of a player who had just six months left on his Anfield contract.

According to talkSPORT, however, Quique Flores’ side have now fought off competition from Aston Villa to agree a pre-contract with the prodigious striker, who will complete a free transfer to Vicarage Road at the end of the season. Due to Sinclair’s age, Watford will have to pay a compensation sum decided by a tribunal unless the two clubs can agree a fee.

Meanwhile, Barcelona are targeting prodigious Chelsea duo Andreas Christensen and Kenedy. The Daily Mail reported on their interest in the former last week, amid an impressive loan campaign at Borussia Monchengladbach that has seen him become a mainstay at the heart of their defence.

The Catalans have scouted the Danish teenager in recent weeks and want to sign him during the summer transfer window – but his loan stint in the Bundesliga doesn’t officially expire until the end of next season and Chelsea will be loathed to part with one of their most exciting youngsters.

Likewise, the La Liga giants have also revived their interest in Kenedy, who they were targeting – and apparently had a first refusal option for – before his £6.3million move to Stamford Bridge last summer.

Despite being primarily considered an attacking player, the Brazilian has found good form at left-back this season and his goal against Norwich two weekends ago is said to have caught the attention of his Nou Camp admirers. Under contract until 2020 and progressing well in the first team, however, the Blues seem unlikely to cash in on the 20-year-old any time soon.
