According to reports from The Express, Schalke are plotting a swoop for Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo, whilst Mirror Football report that Liverpool prodigy Jerome Sinclair is set to join Watford.

Rojo joined the Old Trafford ranks from FC Porto in summer 2014 following a string of impressive performances for Argentina at the 2014 World Cup.

But he’s struggled to establish himself as a regular in Louis van Gaal’s starting XI and is currently sidelined with a dislocated shoulder for the second time in his short Red Devils career.

The 25-year-old has already been linked with a move to Real Madrid this month but the latest reports – citing German publication Bild – claim Schalke are also keen on the versatile defender.

The Bundesliga outfit are searching for extra cover at the heart of defence, with captain centre-back Benedikt Howedes set to miss the next three months through injury.

Meanwhile, Mirror Football report that Liverpool prodigy Jerome Sinclair looks set to join Watford before the close of the January transfer window.

The striker became the youngest debutant in Liverpool history when featuring as a 16-year-old back in 2012 and is rated as one of the Anfield outfit’s most exciting prospects – recently finding the net in the FA Cup against Exeter City.

But talks to extend his contract past the end of the season have stalled and the 20-year-old recently switched agents to Aidy Ward – the controversial representative who facilitated Raheem Sterling’s move to Manchester City last summer.

Manchester City have been tipped to swoop for Sinclair at the end of the campaign but Mirror Football claim Watford are looking to steal a march on the Premier League title hopefuls by launching a bid this month instead.

They describe the Reds youngster as ‘poised’ to join the Hornets.
