But the 26-year-old hasn’t quite performed to the levels expected at the Bernabeu and recent reports have suggested his spell in the Spanish capital could be coming to an abrupt end, with Chelsea and Manchester United looking to take him off the club’s hands.
Citing Portuguese publication A Bola, The Metro now claim Los Blancos are now ready to cash in on Kroos to fund a swoop for PSG striker Edinson Cavani. Parc de Princes boss Laurent Blanc admitted last week that he’d be prepared to let the Uruguay international leave after criticising his role in the starting Xi.
Kroos is reportedly valued at around £40million.
