According to AS, PSG are targeting Arsenal talisman Alexis Sanchez as a potential replacement for Zlatan Ibrahimovic; whilst Mirror Football claim Yaya Toure wants to stay in the Premier League if he leaves Manchester City during the summer transfer window.

The enigmatic frontman is set to leave Parc de Princes on a free transfer this summer and according to AS, the French champions have identified Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez as a potential replacement – seeing him as an ideal attacking accomplice to Edinson Cavani, who looks set to be moved into Zlatan’s central striking role.

The Chile international has bagged 24 goals and 12 assists in 58 Premier League appearances for the Gunners since sealing a summer transfer from Barcelona in summer 2014, with his performances reaching talismanic levels at times, but could be interested in a summer departure following an underwhelming campaign at the Emirates.

However, AS claim any deal during the summer transfer window could prove quite the struggle. Arsenal are ready to offer the 27-year-old an improved contract, whilst AS allege that should he become available this summer, a number of clubs from across Europe are likely to rival PSG’s transfer interest.

Meanwhile, Mirror Football claim Yaya Toure is ready to snub a summer transfer to long-term admirers Inter Milan, headed by former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini, because he wants to stay in the Premier League upon leaving the Etihad Stadium.

Outspoken agent Dimitri Seluk claimed earlier this week that the Ivory Coast international will ‘definitely‘ leave the two-time Premier League champions in the coming transfer window, in no small part due to the arrival of manager Pep Guardiola – who Toure infamously fell out with at former club Barcelona.

Mirror Football allege that despite also receiving lucrative offers from China, the goalscoring midfielder will snub transfer interest from abroad to stay in England, where his family are firmly settled. In terms of potential suitors, the 32-year-old was linked with a shock £20million transfer to West Ham last week.
