Presenter ExWHUemployee has revealed that there is no truth behind the rumours linking West Ham United with a move for Luca Pellegrini.
It seems as though the Hammers could well be in the market for a new left-back signing this summer, with Owen Wijndal once drawing interest – though he has now joined Ajax.
With that in mind, a new name has recently popped up in the form of the Serie A defender. Indeed, Italian outlet Calciomercato claimed that Fulham and West Ham will battle it out for the Juventus man.
However, the transfer insider explained what he knew The West Ham Way Patreon page, stating that these reports ‘are not true’ and actually the Irons have other left-back targets instead.
Ex wrote: “There has been a lot of talk in the Italian press that West Ham are on the verge of signing Luca Pellegrini, the Italian international left back from Juventus. Sadly these reports are not true. It has been confirmed to us that the club are not close to signing him and that we have other left-back targets.”
Do West Ham need a new left-back signing this summer?

No
TIF thoughts on Luca Pellegrini and West Ham…
It is certainly interesting to hear West Ham have their eyes on other left-backs at the moment, as Aaron Hickey was one other rumoured name but he has recently joined Premier League rivals Brentford.
And so it remains unclear who the Hammers have in mind as a priority target for that position this summer. Pellegrini, though, may have been a decent option which may explain why Ex is sad to report the news.
Indeed, as a Juventus player, the 23-year-old must be of a decent calibre. After all, he made 21 appearances for them last season, featuring once in the Champions League too (via Transfermarkt).
Still, if the latest reports are accurate. it looks as though he’s more likely to remain with the Italian club for now than to make a move to London with West Ham.
