Joe Wainman has claimed that he thinks it would be crazy for Leeds United to even consider selling Jack Harrison this summer.

Leeds United winger Jack Harrison has been linked with a move away from Elland Road this summer as fellow Premier League side Newcastle United are keen on the English winger, but their current estimation of him is below what the Whites believe he is worth.

Harrison has been a mainstay in the Leeds side over the past three seasons, he initially joined the club on loan from Manchester City, but at the start of last season, he signed a permanent deal. Overall, he has made 166 appearances in all competitions whilst netting 28 times and chipping in with 22 assists.

With Newcastle United being interested in Harrison this summer, Wainman spoke on the Just Joe Football Show YouTube channel and claimed that he believes it would be crazy for Leeds to even consider selling the English winger in this transfer window.

(1;22) “I do not want Jack Harrison to leave, I think it would be crazy for Leeds United to even consider moving him on but every player has his price,” Wainman said.

Do you think Harrison will leave Leeds?

TIF Thoughts on Wainman’s comments…

Leeds might have already signed six players this summer, but they have seen two of their star players leave the club with Kalvin Phillips joining Manchester City and Raphinha signing for Barcelona, so Jesse Marsch might be keen not to let any more of his key players like Harrison leave in the same transfer window.

If Harrison leaves this summer, then Marsch would have to find a replacement and bring in another player, so that would mean another new face coming in the door at Elland Road, and with lots of new players coming in, the squad could become disjointed and the new faces might take some time to get used to the Premier League.

We can’t afford to sell Harrison. Orta should give up on his De Ketelarre obsession and use the money to buy in a different striker. The saving would also allow a better LB, utility player and support goalie.
