A whole host of Celtic fans are devastated on Twitter after Ange Posteocglou drops Callum McGregor injury claim.

Celtic had to get through a tough and battling away cup game against Alloa Athletic as Ange Postecoglou was forced into making three changes during the game with Leil Abada, McGregor and Yosuke Ideguchi all picking up knocks.

Will Celtic win the league?

Yes!

Yes!

No!

No!

It was the one which was sustained by their captain just before the halftime whistle which appears to be of concern to the Celtic manager, who claimed after the victory, ‘he wasn’t in great shape, it’s not going to be short-term.’

A lot of Celtic fans are gutted on Twitter following these comments.

What have these Celtic fans have been saying?

“Massive loss, hope he’s no oot too long”

@seanlopez7

So we’re now weaker going into these games than we started you couldn’t write it. Constant injuries our players are so weak”

@mark_mccairn

“Bruh our luck is a joke”

@wan_celtic

“looked a right sore one – he was white as a sheet when coming off. suspect that’s a broken cheek (6 weeks)”

@AwhYeh

“Thought it was a broken hae right away , the lad couldn’t even spit”

@P_60NRY

“It’s time for Bitton to step up. He’s played well for us this season. Plus Guchi and McCarthy give us plenty of options in that position. Get well soon, Callum!”

@WSBhoy

It will surely be a huge blow for Celtic and Postecoglou to lose their captain and almost ever-present midfielder this season McGregor but it could also prove to be a huge opportunity for new signing Matt O’Riley to impress and hit the ground running.
