It could’ve been completely different for them though, as Harry Kane thought he had opened the scoring, only to see it ruled out for a foul in the build-up. Incredibly frustrated, Spurs fans took to Twitter to vent.

Matt Doherty was the main target of the criticism and it’s no surprise. As per SofaScore, he only touched the ball 33 times throughout the game – even Spurs captain and goalkeeper Hugo Lloris managed more with 34.

Spurs fans can rejoice though, as a replacement looks to be on the cards to fill his position in the form of Wolves’ Adama Traore. Wolves are ready to sell as it appears he won’t be signing a contract extension, so they want to get something while they can.
Spurs are the frontrunners, with a deal looking likely to materialise in the coming days, so the minutes Doherty is set to get could be drastically reduced.
