A number of Queens Park Rangers have been left outraged after seeing an image relating to a goal they were denied in the last game.
In their most recent match, QPR fell to a disappointing Carabao Cup loss at the hands of Sunderland. After the game had finished all square at 0-0, a penalty shoot-out had to settle the affair.
In the end, Charlie Austin, Ilias Chair and Yoann Barbet all missed for the London club, allowing the Black Cats to progress after scoring their three penalties.
However, QPR thought they had won the match in normal time when Austin headed home. The finish was controversially ruled out for offside, following Albert Adomah’s initial deflected effort.
An image has now appeared online, though, which shows that the would-be goalscorer is clearly onside when Adomah makes his attempt at goal.
A collection of QPR supporters took to Twitter to view the image, and it’s safe to say they were not pleased at all.
Here’s what these QPR fans said
“Investigation needed.”
The evident QPR fan turmoil is clear to see in all of these comments. Still, all the pain for one club is delight for the other as Sunderland now progress into the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Will QPR make the playoffs this season?
Yes
No
This season is shaping up quite nicely for the Black Cats who could also move top of League One if they win either of their two games in hand.
