Supporters of Leeds United have been reacting to a report regarding Marcelo Bielsa’s contract with the Yorkshire club.

According to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Argentine manager has ‘reached a full agreement’ with Andrea Radrizzani over a new contract.

The new contract is supposedly only for one further year at Elland Road.

Leeds were in a similar position last summer, but they were able to activate a 12-month extension to the contract which the manager had signed the previous summer (per The Guardian).

This report was shared on social media by Gianluca Di Marzio and it had lots of Leeds supporters reacting.

Starting with an easy one how many points did Leeds end the season with?

The 65-year-old manager’s deal with the club expired in late June and supporters had been left ‘concerned‘ that he had not yet put pen to paper on a new deal.

Would keeping Marcelo Bielsa at Elland Road be the signing of the summer?

Since his appointment as the club’s manager in 2018, Bielsa has overseen 100 matches, in which he has earned an impressive points-per-match average of 1.85 (per Transfermarkt).

During the 2019/20 season, the Argentine manager also managed to return the Whites to the Premier League after a 16-year absence.

As can be seen in these responses from Leeds supporters, they were clearly left delighted with the report on Bielsa’s contract.
