Image for Leeds United: Fans react to club tweet sharing Kalvin Phillips images

Leeds United’s official Twitter account recently posted a tweet that shared some images of Whites midfielder Kalvin Phillips.

Phillips is a Leeds United academy graduate and the midfielder has been a prominent member of the Whites’ first team in recent seasons.

According to WhoScored, Phillips earned an impressive overall rating of 7.22 from his 37 Championship appearances during the Whites’ title-winning 2019/20 campaign and this made him the club’s joint-second-highest rated player in the league for the most recent season.

As per Leeds United’s official website, the 24-year-old suffered a knee injury in the Whites’ 12th July clash with Swansea City that was expected to put him out of action for ‘up to five weeks’ and the images of the player that were included in the club’s recent tweet seem to have been taken during a training session, which indicates that Phillips may be on track with his recovery from that injury.

This tweet drew a positive reaction from plenty of the Leeds fans who responded to it, with some Whites fans sharing praise for the 24-year-old midfielder in response to this post.
