Many Leeds United supporters have flocked to a recent tweet from @marshyleeds in which he has shared an update regarding Marcelo Bielsa’s future.
The 65-year-old Argentine recently guided the Whites to the Championship title, and subsequently restored their Premier League status for the first time in 16 years, but currently, the experienced coach doesn’t have a contract with the Yorkshire-based club that would see him take charge of them for the 2020/21 campaign.
The update comes from Argentinian outlet Infobae (via Sport Witness) and claims that Bielsa is happy to continue with the club, but wishes to have his demands met by the Leeds hierarchy with regards to the Whites’ summer transfer activity. Here is how a sample of the Elland Road faithful have responded to James Marshment’s post:
I can’t see them not agreeing to this. They moved heaven and earth to get the guy here, he’s got us up in 2 years. They don’t seem the type to blow it all just because they disagree with a football managing God

Marcelo has got us further than any manager for a long time. He’s not unreasonable in any requests when it comes to wanting to improve our players so they can perform as a team.
Agreeing to his terms should be a given— ELeighLUFC (C) ????? (@e_lufc) July 28, 2020
His demands are exactly way it should be for a manager. The man is in full control of his team, the way it should be….

Are you confident Bielsa will stay at Leeds this summer?
Yes
No
It’s clear from the above responses that these supporters feel Bielsa’s demands are reasonable and they do not expect the club to refuse them and run the risk of losing their talented coach.
Seems reasonable

That list seems what any good manager/head coach would expect/demand! After all the hard work @andrearadri, Victor and Angus put in to get him here, I can’t see them not agreeing! MoT!

Bielsa’s just wrestled recruitment away from Victor Orta, so he can’t do any more stupid. Great news. #lufc https://t.co/FvkGxhD9jx

Is it just me that loves the way he works? He’s so methodical in everything he does

Leeds haven’t played Premier League football since their relegation at the end of the 2003/04 campaign, and given Bielsa has guided the club back to the big time, it’s understandable why he appears to be insisting the club create the environment in which he feels he can best achieve results.
