Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news concerning teenage forward Ryan Edmondson.
This comes after Leeds journalist Graham Smyth shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that Edmondson is ‘off to Aberdeen on loan until January.’
Smyth also revealed that Leeds are looking at a contract renewal for the 19-year-old.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest news.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to the post:
Ryan Edmondson off to Aberdeen on loan until January. Leeds United are looking at a contract renewal for the striker, too.#lufc

Would rather he went to a league 1 or 2 club, but good that he’ll be getting proper match experience.

The forward first joined the Leeds’ U18 squad back in 2017 from York City (per Transfermarkt). Since then, the 19-year-old has only made two appearances for Leeds’ senior team, which both came back in 2018.
Decent move for him, how come Bielsa is more up for loans now? In the past he would rather improve the younger players by his side?

Good call, with injuries didn’t really get the chance to kick on last season so this seems a crucial step in his development & with the SPL playing he can get straight into it rather than waiting another 6 weeks for the new English season to kick-off.

Are you pleased to see Edmondson go out on loan?
Yes, it will be a good move for him
No, he should stay in the squad
The kid is still young, had the usual injuries etc can hardly say he’s been badly treated, if Bielsa thinks he’s been off the required level to even be on the bench then it’s surely a win-win some of the youngsters need proper experience rather than reserves/u23 #lufc

Now that Smyth has shared this news about Edmondson’s loan deal to Aberdeen on his Twitter page, this sparked a big reaction from Leeds fans, who were quick to share their opinions on the youngster, his proposed move to Scotland and his future as a Leeds player.
Will be good to see how he gets on. Good luck to him

He will be a great player with this experience

If Edmondson can get some playing minutes under his belt at Aberdeen and develop his game, it will surely be a good move for him.
The fact that Leeds are also working on a deal for Edmondson to renew his contract at the Yorkshire club just goes to show how much they value him and want to keep him at the club for the future.
Looking at the replies to Smyth’s post, it appears that these Leeds fans are all hopeful that Edmondson can have a successful time away on loan and then come back to Elland Road and kick on with his career for the Whites.
