Leeds United fans on Twitter have been responding to the latest news surrounding director of football Victor Orta.
This comes after Leeds journalist Beren Cross shared a post on his official Twitter page revealing that Orta is “yet to be approached by Red Bull and expects to remain” at the Yorkshire club after it was recently reported by The Independent that Red Bull had identified Orta as a candidate for their vacant technical director role.
Cross’ Twitter post also included an article he wrote for Leeds Live on this latest development.
This post then gathered a lot of replies from Leeds fans, who were quick to share their thoughts on this latest update.
Here’s a sample of Leeds fans responding to the post:

Somewhat a divisive figure since arriving as we’ve had some bad signings, but in any part he played in bringing in Marcelo, then he’s alright in my book ??

According to Cross’ report, Orta is said to be “surprised’ by the alleged interest from Red Bull. The report also added: “After a difficult first year in West Yorkshire with several transfer flops, Orta’s reputation has soared after his role in snaring [Marcelo] Bielsa and the success of Ben White, Mateusz Klich and Jack Harrison.”
Please don’t scare me

With 8 games to go I’d expect VO to dismiss or ignore any of this.

Now that it has been reported by Cross that Orta is expected to remain at the Yorkshire club, this sparked a big reaction on Twitter, with lots of Leeds fans sharing their thoughts on the man and his potential exit from Elland Road.
Do you like Victor Orta?
Yes
No
However, there was one Leeds fan responding to the post who was rather keen to see Orta step down from his position and leave the club.

It’s good to see that the majority of these Leeds fans are glad that Orta is not likely to be leaving the club anytime soon. This shows that he must have been doing something right to get these fans on his side.
Orta’s hope for Leeds now would be that they can secure promotion to the Premier League by the end of this season.
