Plenty of Leeds United fans have flocked to a tweet that was recently posted by the club’s official Twitter account which includes footage of a Lewis Cook strike from his time at Elland Road.
Cook, who left the Whites to join Bournemouth in July 2016, is a product of Leeds United’s youth academy. The midfielder made 85 appearances for Leeds in all competitions during his time at Elland Road before departing from the club after scoring just two goals and providing five assists.
Considering that he only scored two goals during his time as a Leeds player, it mightn’t come as a surprise that Leeds United’s recent tweet sharing footage of a long-range strike of Cook’s from his time as a Whites player has caught the attention of plenty of Leeds fans.

Cook, who is currently valued at £14.4m according to Transfermarkt, was highly rated during his time as a Leeds player. He won the Whites’ Young Player of the Year award in both the 2014/15 campaign and the 2015/16 campaign. Cook was also named the EFL’s Young Player of the Year in 2016.
With that in mind, it may not come as a big surprise that the club’s tweet sharing one of his two goals for Leeds has resulted in some fans sharing their positive memories of the player, and it may be understandable why some Whites supporters have shared that they would like to see Cook return to Elland Road.
