Many Leeds United supporters have been responding to the news that youngster Harrison Male is leaving the club. Leeds Live’s Beren Cross shared the report via his Twitter account, confirming that the 19-year-old is to depart Elland Road.
Male has been on the books with the Yorkshire-based club for 12 years, but despite having signed his first professional contract with the Whites as recently as May 2019, he is now ‘looking for a new club’. Leeds Live reports that the young goalkeeper has struggled with injury throughout the 2019/20 campaign as failed to ‘make an impression on the Under-23s’.
Here is how a sample of the fans have responded to the update via social media:
Good luck for future young man MOT.

Do you expect to see Kiko Casilla leave this summer?
Yes
It’s clear from the above responses that these fans wish the young man the best of luck wherever his next move may take him. A combination of injuries and the presence of Elia Caprile and Kamil Miazek within the Under-23 setup have been described as factors which have impacted his development. These fans continued to wish him well in response to the report.

One fan, in particular, commented on the overall goalkeeping situation at the club and claimed Male may not be the only stopper on his way out of Elland Road this summer.
Suspect he won’t be the last keeper moving on

Appalling from the club.

Leeds United signed Kiko Casilla from Real Madrid back in January 2019 and the Spaniard is currently serving a ban having been found guilty of racially abusing a Charlton Athletic player. The fallout of the incident has cast his Elland Road future into doubt and we assume the above tweet is aimed at the 33-year-old.
For now, however, Marcelo Bielsa will no doubt be fully focused on leading his side to promotion back to the top flight for the first time since their relegation in 2004.
