Many Leeds United supporters have been responding to a post from The Athletic’s Phil Hay on Twitter. He shared a photograph of an empty Elland Road with the caption: ‘One week to go. Two weeks until this.’
Hay was referring to the return of the Championship and the Whites’ first game back against Cardiff City, which is scheduled to take place on June 21 and made reference to the return to their home stadium against Fulham on the 27th (via leedsunited.com).
Here is how a section of the club’s supporters responded to the post.

Are you confident of Leeds securing automatic promotion?
Yes
No
The Whites are currently top of the division and are in pole position to secure promotion back to the Premier League for the first time since they were relegated in 2004. Marcelo Bielsa’s side hold a seven-point lead over Fulham, who occupy third place, but West Bromwich Albion are hot on their heels in the race for the title. Fans continued to respond to Phil Hay’s post.
Just wish we could all go ?

There is clearly plenty of excitement around the return of football, however, some fans have expressed their nervousness due to the significance of their remaining fixtures. If Leeds are to go on and secure automatic promotion, the fact that fans aren’t allowed to attend the remaining games may take some of the gloss off it, however, regardless of that, this season would go down as a historic one.
