Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently being ‘monitored’ by staff at the Merseyside club after taking a ‘knock’ during a recent training match.
This comes after it was reported by The Mirror that the Englishman made an ‘early exit’ from the Reds’ recent victory over Blackburn Rovers, ‘despite making a positive start to the game’.
The article claims that Oxlade-Chamberlain took a knock to his ankle that forced him off the pitch, while he will ‘continue to be monitored’ by club staff and that his injury is ‘not considered serious’.
The 26-year-old joined the Merseyside club back in 2017 from fellow Premier League side Arsenal for a fee of £34.2 million (per Transfermarkt).
Since then, the midfielder has gone on to make 78 appearances for Jurgen Klopp’s side, in which he has managed to score 12 goals and provide nine assists (per Transfermarkt).
