Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is currently being ‘monitored’ by staff at the Merseyside club after taking a ‘knock’ during a recent training match. 

This comes after it was reported by The Mirror that the Englishman made an ‘early exit’ from the Reds’ recent victory over Blackburn Rovers, ‘despite making a positive start to the game’.

The article claims that Oxlade-Chamberlain took a knock to his ankle that forced him off the pitch, while he will ‘continue to be monitored’ by club staff and that his injury is ‘not considered serious’.
