A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a tweet from Phil Hay that includes a link to an article produced by Simon Johnson and Liam Twomey on Chelsea’s loan players and how they are managed.
Hay mentions that Leeds have had Izzy Brown, Jamal Blackman, and Lewis Baker all arrive on loan from Stamford Bridge and in his view, none of them ‘made any impact.’
This tweet from Hay has got these Leeds fans talking about all three players.
Who was the worst Chelsea loan player?
Brown
Blackman
Baker
We've had Jamal Blackman, Izzy Brown and Lewis Baker at Leeds United, none of whom made any impact.
This is a great piece from @SJohnsonSport and @liam_twomey on Chelsea's swathe of loanees – how they're managed and what the future holds for them:https://t.co/n41YjUtWYr

Shouldnt be allowed, its not good for players careers….lewis baker is the most average footballer I think I’ve ever seen and hes worth a fortune….hes absolutely stole a living

Think it was a real shame with Blackman think he could’ve cemented a spot in the squad

I spent until about April last year waiting for Izzy Brown to come good

When Izzy Brown played against us v Rotherham a few years ago he really was superb and I think he and Blackman have been scuppered by injuries. Baker is bang average.

To be be fair @PhilHay_ Blackman had an impact at SU and Brown at Huddersfield and Luton but both had injury issues at Leeds (in different ways) at Leeds. Not sure what Baker’s excuse is…

Lewis Baker is the most average football player I have ever seen.

What do we think?
Brown made just two appearances for the Whites last season as injury kept him out of 25 league matches and, according to Hay, Marcelo Bielsa did not believe that he was up to the physical demands.
Blackman spent the 2018/19 season at Elland Road and made just two appearances in all competitions.
Baker was also with the Whites for the 2018/19 season and managed to feature in 14 games in all competitions where he provided no goals and one assist.
So, by going off this, we agree with Hay that none of them made any impact.
