Many Celtic fans made their anger about Tom English clear after the journalist recently sent out a tweet.
English posted a tweet on Thursday which quote-tweeted a post from BBC Sportsound. The BBC tweet shares a link to an article which talks about how the SPFL have responded to Celtic’s Old Firm rivals’ recent complaints over the vote to end the season. English shared the BBC Sportsound tweet while saying that the SPFL have been ‘getting their message out early’.
On seeing this tweet, many Celtic fans made their dislike for English’s comments very clear.
The SPFL`s response is succinct, no 48 hours delays there.
Have you backed the wrong horse again Tom? ??

Does Tom English have an anti-SPFL and anti-Celtic stance?
Surely!
No, he's doing his job!
Ye ragin’ Tam?

What they actually said is there is “not a single shred of evidence” to support their claim
Try reporting accurately, it’s not that difficult..or desist

Tom I actually like you as a journalist/radio pundit and find you balanced normally but you have really put your feet firmly in the anti SPFL camp here and gone all in. If this fizzles out then your credibility comes into question.

The SPFL had hit back at Rangers’ claims of having ‘evidence’ of bullying and coercion being conducted by the SPFL in relation to the recent vote to end the season. The Ibrox club had also called for the suspension of Neil Doncaster and the SPFL’s legal adviser, Rod McKenzie.
What do we think?
Judging by the comments, Celtic fans seem to think that English’s tweet is aimed at them. But the BBC journalist’s tweet seems like a rather unbiased one and just talks about the situation in Scottish football rather harmlessly.
Celtic fans’ perception about English favouring Rangers doesn’t ring true in this case and with the situation still developing, it is time to wait and watch.
