Many Leeds United supporters have been responding to the club’s #ClapForOurCarers post on Twitter. It pays tribute to those who are currently working on the frontlines and for the NHS in the fight against the viral outbreak that has seen tens of thousands lose their lives.
On this latest edition, Chris Fairclough, Hadi Sacko, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Noel Whelan, Chris Kamara and Paul Reaney all took part amongst others. Here is how some of the Elland Road faithful have responded to the post.
Chris Fairclough… aged about 3 days since he retired. Love seeing the ex players every week ?

Chris fairclough looks younger now than he did when he played. He is the real life version of a Snapchat filter!!!!

Whilst some couldn’t quite believe how well Chris Fairclough looks at 56, others couldn’t resist commenting on Hadi Sacko’s appearance. The winger currently plays his football for the Turkish side Denizlispor, he made 60 appearances for the Whites but is famed for gliding past defenders with ease before losing all composure. As a result, the club’s fans immortalised the phrase ‘Square it, Hadi!’
Do you think Hadi Sacko would have improved under Bielsa?
Yes

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that the Leeds supporters enjoy seeing some of their former heroes joining in with the tribute to those caring for the country at present. Marcelo Bielsa’s side currently sits top of the Championship and hope to secure promotion back to the Premier League when it is deemed safe to resume.
