EFL chairman Rick Parry has told MPs they expect three clubs to be promoted to the Premier League and three to be relegated down into the Championship – or those impacted will take “very messy” legal action, according to Martyn Ziegler of The Times.
As things stand, Leeds United and West Bromwich Albion currently occupy the automatic promotion places with Fulham, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and Preston North End in the play-off spots. The season is currently suspended due to the public health crisis and at present, no date has been set for the competitions to resume.
Here is how some of the Elland Road faithful have responded to Ziegler’s post.
Rick Parry is my favourite EFL Chairman of all time!!! ?

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these Leeds United supporters have welcomed Parry’s comments. The former Liverpool chief executive warned the lawyers would “get wealthy” and that there would be “outrage” and a “breach” of agreements if the Championship clubs were denied promotion to the top flight. Given the complexity of the matter, we wouldn’t want to be the ones making the decisions.
