The Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer Graham Smyth recently posted a tweet sharing an article which states that the 2019/20 season, outside of the Premier League, is “unlikely” to be completed.

This tweet has caught the attention of many Leeds United fans, some of whom have responded to the journalist’s post by sharing some of their fears over the possibility that they will be denied promotion to the Premier League if the Championship season is not played to its completion.

This article from the Yorkshire Evening Post states that “current Championship leaders Leeds United would almost certainly go up”, regardless of which model the EFL decide to use to “determine the final tables and promotion places”.

While this statement appears as though it may be somewhat reassuring for Leeds fans, that hasn’t stopped some Whites supporters from sharing their fears around the possibility that they won’t be promoted to the Premier League for next season.

To kick things off what season is this from?

Do you think the EFL will deny Leeds United promotion if the season can't be completed?

YES, THEY WILL FIND A WAY

YES, THEY WILL FIND A WAY

NO, THEY CAN'T DO THAT

NO, THEY CAN'T DO THAT

What do we think?

Considering that Leeds have failed to earn promotion from the Championship since they were relegated from the Premier League back in the 2003/04 campaign, it may be understandable why some of their club’s supporters have been sharing some anxiety around the possibility that a potential premature conclusion to the season could hinder their promotion hopes.
