The Yorkshire Evening Post’s chief football writer Graham Smyth recently posted a tweet sharing an article which states that the 2019/20 season, outside of the Premier League, is “unlikely” to be completed.
This tweet has caught the attention of many Leeds United fans, some of whom have responded to the journalist’s post by sharing some of their fears over the possibility that they will be denied promotion to the Premier League if the Championship season is not played to its completion.
This article from the Yorkshire Evening Post states that “current Championship leaders Leeds United would almost certainly go up”, regardless of which model the EFL decide to use to “determine the final tables and promotion places”.
While this statement appears as though it may be somewhat reassuring for Leeds fans, that hasn’t stopped some Whites supporters from sharing their fears around the possibility that they won’t be promoted to the Premier League for next season.

Seasons outside the Premier League 'unlikely' to be played to completion say reports and YEP sources.
And if it was agreed for promotion to be decided by results/data models, Leeds United almost certainly would go up.https://t.co/T4xPBef4Ch#lufc

Be interesting to watch the EFL come up with some maths that would mean we couldn’t go up ??

The way the EFL work they would do all they can to keep us down-I still can’t see why 9 games can’t played in a relatively short space of time. Normally wknd -midweek- wknd fixtures are common during the season anyway.

EFL currently working on a model that puts us 3rd

Do you think the EFL will deny Leeds United promotion if the season can't be completed?YES, THEY WILL FIND A WAYNO, THEY CAN'T DO THAT |
The EFL will base it on alphabetical order and send Barnsley, Brum & Blackburn up!

I’m nervous and anxious at what could happen because efl or fa and premier league will not help us

Leeds don’t follow the laws of probability…

Guarantee the EFL will do everything in their power to keep us in the championship and ‘void’ the season… It’s a money world remember, and we provide them with a lot of money. It’s an absolute mess

What do we think?
Considering that Leeds have failed to earn promotion from the Championship since they were relegated from the Premier League back in the 2003/04 campaign, it may be understandable why some of their club’s supporters have been sharing some anxiety around the possibility that a potential premature conclusion to the season could hinder their promotion hopes.
