A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a tweet from Phil Hay that includes a link to an article on Sheffield United.
The piece, produced by Richard Sutcliffe and Tom Worville, focuses on why the Blades have such an excellent defensive record this season in the Premier League.
Chris Wilder’s side sits in 7th place having accumulated 43 points, and Dean Henderson has kept ten clean sheets.
This post from Hay has drawn the attention of these Leeds fans who were quick to praise Wilder and his team, with some hoping for Leeds to emulate the Blades’ success should Marcelo Bielsa’s side secure promotion to the top flight.
Who would you prefer as Leeds manager?
Bielsa
Chris Wilder
Chris Wilder’s Sheffield United have been a great example of how to transition well between the Championship and the Premier League.
This is a really interesting look at the reasons behind their excellent defensive record. By @RSooty73 and @Worville:https://t.co/AeN790o2VM

He’s done a remarkable job there . Deserves to be manager of the year. Very impressed. Be interesting to see if he could do similar with another team

As much as we don’t want to, we have to give them credit. We can look to #avfc and #ncfc to understand how real the challenge of going up would be. Lots of us forgetting that could we could easily struggle, especially in a hyper relegation situation..

Incredible how some players who played in League 1 now playing in Premiership.
Great man manager.— Keep the Faith (@Buybeckford) May 4, 2020
We all think a lot of Bielsa but Wilder has done a fantastic job and with not much money.

Agreed – you don’t need to spend a fortune which gives me great confidence if we finally get there

Wilder has done a great job there. Core of the sqaud was the same lot he took up from League One.
Credit where credit is due.— We All Talk Leeds (@WeAllTalkLeeds) May 4, 2020
What do we think?
Last year, Sheffield United beat the Whites to the final automatic promotion spot and finished six points clear of Bielsa’s men.
They also beat the Whites at Elland Road thanks to a goal from Chris Basham but Leeds won 1-0 at Bramall Lane.
Wilder took over the Blades on 12th May 2016 when they were in League One, and now nearly four years later, he has them in the top ten of the Premier League.
It is no wonder that so many Leeds fans are praising him.
