A lot of Leeds United fans have replied to a tweet from Leeds United News that includes a link to a story on Rio Ferdinand.
The piece has a link to a report from I News that claims that Ferdinand has been added to the leadership team that is carrying out testing for Premier League players.
The piece claims Ferdinand will help with player engagement as the Premier League looks to restart the season.
It is claimed that getting the former Leeds man on board could convince some top-flight players to return to training and matches.
However, it seems that because of Ferdinand’s chequered history of turning up for tests, many Leeds fans found this very funny.
Do you think this move will help Leeds return to training soon?
Yes, we will follow the Premier League's lead
No, this will make no difference for us
As Project Restart takes a step forward today, former Leeds United defender reportedly takes on a new role.https://t.co/a2cS1HNGL6#lufc

What do we think?
While Ferdinand has missed the odd test in the past, the piece by Sam Cunningham claims that he is ‘one of the most respected figures in the game’ and he could help convince some of the Premier League’s players to return to football.
This, in turn, could help the Whites as the Championship are intending to copy what the top-flight do, and aim to restart matches on 20th June.
