A group of Leeds United supporters have been discussing the club’s recent Twitter post which features a series of photographs of Jean-Kevin Augustin in training. The 22-year-old signed for the Whites on loan from RB Leipzig during the late stages of the January transfer window.
According to Leeds Live, Marcelo Bielsa’s side has an obligation to sign the striker on a permanent deal if they achieve promotion to the Premier League despite him having made just three appearances in the Championship since his arrival.
In total, Augustin has played just 48 minutes of football for the Yorkshire-based club in consecutive fixtures versus Nottingham Forest, Brentford and Bristol City back in February (via Transfermarkt.co.uk).
It is safe to say that up until now, the loan move hasn’t worked out quite as well as some of the Elland Road faithful would have hoped, so, how have they responded to this recent social media post?
Cannot wait to see Kev in action! Decent hair too!

Can Jean-Kevin Augustin have a positive impact on the remainder of this season?
Yes
No
League isn’t going to know what’s hit it now that @33_augustin is back. This break has been a blessing for him; fitter than ever and injury free. We wouldn’t have seen the best of him if it wasn’t for this break.

Now I’m excited.

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that these Leeds United fans were pleased to see their striker looking fit and working hard on the training ground.
During Augustin’s time with RB Leipzig, he scored 20 goals and provided eight assists in 67 appearances, in our view, highlighting the fact that if he can maintain the fitness levels Bielsa demands he can yet prove to be a big asset to this team.
