What do we think?
The 1970 FA Cup final, from which this medal and shirt are from, has been dubbed as the ‘most brutal game in English football history‘.
In the deciding match itself, which was a replay, Chelsea came back from a goal down to defeat Leeds 2-1 after extra time, securing their first-ever FA Cup victory.
However, although referee Eric Jennings brandished just one yellow card during the fixture, upon watching the match back, current referee Michael Oliver claimed that if he had been officiating the match that day, he would have brandished an astonishing 11 red cards.
However, seeing the medal and shirt from that FA Cup final appears to have pleased the Leeds fans, regardless of their side’s unfortunate result that day.
