Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which relays reports concerning comments made by Brighton forward Glenn Murray.
Speaking to The Football Show on Sky Sports (via Yorkshire Evening Post), Murray discussed whether he believed it would be unfair if Championship clubs were promoted at the expense of relegated Premier League sides in the event that top-flight football resumes and the Championship season finishes as things stand.
He stated: “We’re trying our best to get the Premier League finished, no-one wants it voided and if we get it finished, like I’ve said the bottom three will be the worst three and deserve to go down. But if the Championship aren’t finishing their season, why should they get promoted? If we get relegated and they get promoted without kicking a ball, I can’t see that that’s a fair way to finish.”
In reaction to Murray’s comments, which were relayed by Leeds United News on Twitter, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many stating their belief that the striker’s comments are embarrassing, while others have suggested that Murray and Brighton should worry about staying in the Premier League rather than discussing the Championship.
Do you think Murray's comments are fair?

It’s their business. It’s up to EFL to determine under what conditions clubs are promoted. Brighton should focus on staying outside relegation zone.

It’s embarrassing watching people try to wriggle out of what is right. I thought Glenn Murray would have more self respect.

When your girlfriend dumps you .. you have no say on with who or when or how or why she starts a new relationship. Stop embarrassing yourselves.

Sick to death of pampered footballers, now refusing to play due to liability issues, I have been working at an hospital all week, who is liable for me to claim off if I or a family member is ill? The NHS.

What do we think?
While many of these Leeds fans have suggested that Murray should mind his own business, this appears slightly unfair, primarily because he was asked for his thoughts in an interview, and responded with what would appear to be his honest opinion.
However, it would certainly appear that many of these Leeds fans disagree with the Brighton forward’s stance on the matter.
