Former Leeds United striker Luciano Becchio has shared a profile written on him by balonlatino.net via his official Twitter account. The now 36-year-old represented the Whites between July 2008 and January 2013.
During his time at Elland Road, the Argentina-born forward scored an impressive 86 goals and provided 20 assists in 219 appearances. Signed from Merida UD in Spain, Becchio eventually left for Norwich City in a deal reportedly worth £207k.
Here is how some of the club’s fans have responded to their former star’s post.

Do you regard Becchio as a Leeds United hero?
Yes
No
However, there were a couple of Leeds United fans who were less receptive towards the retired attacker’s post.
I met you and I asked you 3 times to sign my 12 year old son’sJersey and you refused the 3 times ?

Any pictures of you kissing the Norwich badge ?

What do we think?
It’s clear from the above responses that most of these Leeds fans are still very fond of the player. His profile picture is one of him celebrating a goal in the famous white strip, which suggests he still holds the Yorkshire-based club very close to his heart.
The Whites were closing in on promotion to the Premier League when the Championship season was suspended due to the current health crisis. They will be hoping to carry on where they left off when it is deemed safe enough for football to resume.
