Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing former Manchester United winger Memphis Depay after it was reported that Lyon would be willing to sell him for £30 million this summer.
According to ESPN (via TranSPURS), the Ligue 1 side have slashed their asking price for the Dutch international due to the player entering the last year of his contract and him currently stalling over signing a new one. Spurs were linked with a January move for the 26-year-old back in November of last year and it now seems as if the chances of the North London club signing the Lyon ace this summer have been boosted.
The former PSV man averaged an impressive 7.59 rating for his performances in Ligue 1 during the 2019/20 campaign, contributing nine goals in 13 appearances (per WhoScored). However, a cruciate ligament injury ruled him out in December for the rest of the season.
Should Spurs make a move for Depay this summer?

Most of these Spurs fans seem keen on the potential signing of Depay this window, though some don’t think it will happen, while some feel his signing would be an unnecessary one.
What do we think?
Although £30 million for a player who is currently valued at £39.6 million by Transfermarkt might seem like a good deal, it is difficult to see the Lilywhites spending that amount of money on any player in the current economic climate.
