Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, in which The Athletic’s Phil Hay provides fans with an update on the potential takeover of the club by PSG owner Nasser al-Khelaifi.
According to Hay, talks are ongoing between Leeds and Nasser al-Khelaifi, with 90min.com reporting that current Leeds owner Andrea Radrizzani is close to agreeing a £120 million deal with the PSG owner.
In reaction to Hay’s remarks, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many stating that the numerous takeover stories have grown boring, while others have suggested that it does indeed look like the deal will soon be completed.
I've never said a non-runner – they've been talking, that's not a secret – but we've had enough 'inching closer' stories to last a lifetime.

It’s crazy, but stories of billionaires taking over no longer excite me at all. They’ve become incredibly tedious.

Learnt over many years on Leeds takeover stories – until they change the name on the Chariman’s door – it’s all a load of tripe… posturing , ego stroking or downright lies

It does look like we are inching closer to this deal though Phil. With no sport media types are scrambling for stories to report I guess ?

Never heard you say a no. Starter but I did read you said QSI value leeds lower than radz so that’s good enough for me to know something has happened down the months

Given the number of inching forward reports and how far away it seems to be, did one start in the Arctic and the other in the Antarctic?

We’ve 100% been taken over by the 49ers. You’ll see

What do we think?
While Leeds fans appear to be a little fed up with the takeover rumours, if a deal were to go through, it would likely do no harm to the club’s attempts of returning to their former heights.
With the help of Al-Khelaifi’s investments, PSG have won six of the last seven French league titles, signed Neymar for a record fee of £199.80 million, and seen the club’s value total £921.74 million.
If Leeds were to receive anything like that amount of investment, then they will certainly be an exciting prospect over the coming years.
