Some Celtic fans have been talking about the news update involving a UEFA fine that has been imposed on the club.
STV journalist Raman Bhardwaj recently posted an update, saying that Celtic have been charged €15,000 (£13,193) for a ‘late kick-off’ against Copenhagen in the Europa League earlier in the season. He also said that Neil Lennon has been censured.
Upon reading this update, many Celtic fans were left fuming. They feel their club didn’t deserve the fine at all.
How was it a late kick off??

Aye those incidents are very similar??????
Pitch invasion, fireworks n throwing objects….€20550
Delayed kick off n censoring…..
€15000??????
Throwing objects onto the field was deemed to be €10000 less of an offence than a delayed kickoff!

Imagine getting fined 10k more for a late kick off than for throwing a bottle at someones head 🙂 Uefa ladies and Gents. Uefa.

Were UEFA right to issue this fine to Celtic?
No point in this fine!
I think we deserved it
I wish the rest of Europe football would break away from the UEFA and make own competitions. Must be making millions each season on fines alone. Just as bad as FIFA. Greedy and Corrupt! ?

If it was the away leg why would Celtic be fined ??

Surely thats a wind up ? 15k for a late kick off and the manager swearing but only 5k for launching a half bottle at a player?

This isn’t Celtic’s first run-in with UEFA this season. Back in November, Celtic had partially closed rail seating for a Europa League game against Rennes. They had also been fined £12,900 after fans displayed an “illicit banner” and sang obscene chants against Lazio.
What do we think?
The aforementioned cases show that Celtic’s relationship with UEFA hasn’t been the best this season. Unfortunately, the fans can’t do much about their latest offence and it is probably best for them to move on from the disappointment the club’s fine has caused.
