A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a post from Phil Hay that includes a piece from Steve Madeley on how West Bromwich Albion see this current situation.
According to Madeley, the Baggies are calm about the rest of the season, and if the lockdown continues, they will acknowledge that the current season might need to be finished.
This has drawn the attention of these Leeds fans who are not happy with West Brom’s stance.
Do you find West Brom's stance odd?
Yes, clearly not ambitious enough
No, they have parachute payments
This, from @SteveMadeley78, is where West Brom stand on the issue of how the season should end. They actually sound quite relaxed about the possibility of another season in the Championship, if that's how it has to be:https://t.co/Z57Rp7hjDT

Not the same for us. It would fundamentally change things for the worse. No Bielsa, no Phillips for a start. Several player sales. Awful.

Absolutely pathetic from West Brom! I’d be fuming if the Leeds board were talking like this. Must have another season’s worth of parachute payments to fall back on or something ??

It’s all self greed. WBA stand to receive further parachute payments this year regardless of what happens yet the article suggests they’d want this years parachute payments to hit the EFL (inc. them) if there’s no PL relegation this year.

Won’t put them back a decade like it will us.

I think there squad is that good they are confident of doing well next season. Don’t think that would be the case for us.

What do we think?
Leeds and West Brom currently occupy the top two spots in the Championship.
The Baggies have a six-point gap to third, while the Whites have a seven-point gap.
It, therefore, seems strange that the Baggies are now starting to accept that they might have to play in the Championship for at least another year.
Some Leeds fans think that it is because West Brom are still receiving parachute payments, and that is why they wouldn’t mind another year outside of the Premier League.
It is clear, though, that these Whites supporters do not agree with West Brom’s stance on the matter.
