Spurs fans on Twitter have been discussing the latest reports on Tanguy Ndombele, which suggests that he is considering his future with the north London club.
According to Sky Sports (via Hotspur Related), the French midfielder is considering his future after an unsettled start with the Lilywhites. The report also suggests that the 23-year-old was particularly disappointed with Jose Mourinho’s comments following the 1-1 draw with Burnley in March when he was publicly singled out for criticism by the Portuguese manager.
The French international has struggled in his debut campaign in the Premier League since joining in a club-record deal from Lyon last summer, with fitness issues regularly proving to be a problem. Despite completing 90 minutes in the Premier League just three times since joining, the midfielder has still been linked with a summer move to Barcelona in recent weeks.
Are you surprised that Ndombele is reportedly considering his future with Spurs?

Getting the feeling from him that he’s mentally fragile and not up to it at all. What a shame, so talented. Work rate and ethic of a slug.

Yawn!! He should of watched himself against Burnley, if he thought that was a respectable performance he doesn’t deserve Sunday league.

He hasn’t played well but definitely didn’t deserve to be thrown under the bus …

Will be the biggest mistake we ever made

Then maybe he should have shown a bit more effort & then he couldn’t have been singled out.

Imagine earning about £100,000 for playing one game that week. And that game was the Burnley match. One hundred thousand pounds for that shift he put in. And then you get the hump when people want you to run around a bit.

These Spurs fans clearly feel they need to see a lot more from Ndombele when football resumes.
What do we think?
Ndombele has really struggled in his first season with Spurs (having started inconsistently and received an average WhoScored match rating on 6.76/10), but perhaps with a full pre-season under Mourinho, he will be able to get properly fit and start showing improved performances next season.
