Fans of Leeds United have been reacting to a post on Twitter, which highlights footage of Liam Cooper and Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish.
In the footage, Cooper puts in what could be described as a strong challenge on the Villa captain, in a fixture that saw United’s automatic promotion hopes for the 2018/19 Championship season end, as the match finished in a 1-1 draw.
In reaction to the footage, fans of the club have flocked to have their say on the matter, with many claiming that they could see no problem with the challenge.

You can see the panic on Grealish’s face when he knows there’s going to be actual contact.

What do we think?
In what was a hotly contested fixture, with six yellow cards and one red, there was also significant controversy following Mateusz Klich’s goal to put Leeds ahead, with Marcelo Bielsa ordering his players to allow Villa to equalise due to the fact that Leeds had opted to play on while Villa striker Jonathan Kodjia was injured.
However, with regards to Cooper’s challenge on Grealish, while many of the fans appear to believe that the tackle was a fair one, we have to say that it looked like there may have been a touch too much force to warrant Cooper getting away without a foul being awarded.
