A group of Leeds United supporters have been discussing Marcelo Bielsa following a recent piece in The Athletic by Phil Hay regarding the 64-year-old. The article speaks of him turning up at the Thorp Arch training ground to inspect the premises before sending a list of jobs to members of the club’s staff.
The list included things such as painting fences, cleaning signs and a general tidy-up of the place – highlighting the Argentinian’s high standards. The piece also goes on to tell the story of when Bielsa first arrived and complained about the scuff marks on the wall from where players had leaned against it with their feet.
A segment from the article has been shared on Twitter by @RPlufc93, prompting the conversation amongst these fans.

I applaud Mr. Bielsa, so what is wrong with a good clean and tidy up around the football and training ground?? For a Club potentially to play in the Premiership, I see no issue with looking as professional as possible…In the mid to late 70’s, Elland Road was the No.1 ground..

What do we think?
It’s clear that in the eyes of the Leeds United faithful, at present, Marcelo Bielsa can do no wrong. The boss’ attention to detail in regards to all aspects of running a football club is in our view, part of the reason he has been so successful during his time at Elland Road.
