Some Leeds United fans have been reacting on social media to Danny Mills’ recent comments regarding the Whites’ rivalry with Manchester United.
Mills featured in a Premier League game against Manchester United on 12 occasions throughout a career that saw him play for both Leeds United and Manchester City. While the Red Devils’ rivalry with Manchester City “has arguably never been more fierce than it is today”, the Whites’ rivalry with Manchester United has arguably been one of “English football’s most intense” rivalries throughout history.
After playing against Manchester United in the Premier League for the Whites on six occasions, footage of Mills discussing Leeds United’s rivalry with Manchester United has recently caught the attention of some Leeds fans on Twitter. It features Mills describing the rivalry between the two clubs as “intense”, going on to say that he hadn’t “experienced an awful lot like” featuring in games between those two clubs.
Some Whites fans have been sharing mixed reactions to the 42-year-old’s recent comments on the rivalry between Leeds United and Manchester United. Read the reactions of some Leeds fans to Mills’ recent comments in the tweets below.

What do we think?
Having played against Manchester United for the Whites on six separate occasions, it might be fair to say that Mills has had enough experience to have an informed opinion on the intensity of the rivalry between the two clubs – not that all of these fans agreed with his take.
