A lot of Leeds United fans have responded to a tweet about Ronaldo Vieira – the former Leeds midfielder, who currently plays from Sampdoria in Italy.
The tweet from We All Talk Leeds claims that Marcelo Bielsa could have made Vieira into a ‘player,’ and it has drawn a reaction from these Leeds fans.
Bit random here but seeing as we're all missing football….. Although we needed to sell for financial reasons, imagine the player Bielsa could've made this guy?
Had some really brilliant performances in the Monk season. The teenager who never gave the ball away #lufc pic.twitter.com/459yw11R0W— We All Talk Leeds (@WeAllTalkLeeds) March 18, 2020

If he hadn’t have left, we would have never seen the beast that is Klich. A week before Stoke (1st game of season) this kid was in the starting 11 and MK was 5/6th choice CM. Some things are just meant to be…

I’m in two minds ……. on the one hand defo agree masses of potential but where’s he play. KP and Klich put him on the bench for me

I think he would fit in nicely with Phillips & Klich,if we go up i say bring Viera or Cook back to replace Forshaw if he cant stay fit

What do we think?
The 21-year-old, who is valued at £6.3m by Transfermarkt, made 71 appearances for Leeds and managed to score two goals and provide four assists; however, he was sold in the summer of 2018 for £6.2m.
Would Vieira have been a good player under Bielsa?
Yes
No
In his place, Kalvin Phillips was moved deeper, and we don’t think that has worked out too badly – considering he has been scouted by Manchester United and watched by Gareth Southgate.
Since leaving Elland Road, Vieira has made 38 appearances for Sampdoria and scored no goals and provided three assists.
It is interesting to speculate what might have happened if he had stayed at Elland Road, but then would the Whites have seen the best of Phillips?
We guess we will never know.
