A lot of Leeds United fans have reacted to a post that has slated the Whites’ signings of Ian Poveda and Jean-Kevin Augustin.
The post calls both of them a ‘smokescreen’ and claims that Augustin’s signing is another ‘Izzy Brown scenario’
Is Augustin the new Izzy Brown?
Yes, barely going to see him
No, he will come good
Interestingly, these supporters have focused more on Augustin, with some firing negative comments towards the striker.
The attacker joined on loan from German side RB Leipzig during the January transfer window, and Leeds fans haven’t seen much of him, so it may be a bit too soon to make a judgement on him.

That ‘smoke screen’ will cost £17m if we continue to stay on track in the league.

Augustin is a weird one cos of the crazy paradox of signing a player for Bielsas methods and playing style, and the rigours of that, when the lad is a million miles from that fitness. Fast track an unfit player he’ll pull/strain something. Guaranteed.

Augustin looks overweight and poor

£20mil is a hell of a smoke screen. I’m fairly sure he’s just injured pal.

What do we think?
Augustin has had to feed off scraps since arriving at Elland Road, with just 48 minutes of first-team football for the Whites.
However, we think that the comparison to Brown is too early to use because even though Augustin will miss Leeds’ match with Huddersfield Town, he could still have nine games to make an impact.
Brown, on the other hand, featured for just 11 minutes at Leeds, so to call Augustin the new Brown to us seems a little harsh.
