A lot of Leeds United fans are not happy with the Whites’ latest tweet – as they asked fans to renew their membership for the 2020/21 season.
The tweet says that ‘LUFC Memberships for the 2020/21 campaign are now available to purchase online.’
The packages that Leeds are selling will cost £50 for adults and include a gift pack, some discount vouchers, and free entry to Under-23s and Leeds United Ladies games.
Has this tweet annoyed you?
Yes
No
However, given the current situation, the timing of the announcement has not gone down well with many Leeds fans.
? #LUFC Memberships for the 2020/21 campaign are now available to purchase online, for existing Members looking to renew. #MyLeeds

Absolute disgrace that people who didnt have membership last year cant apply. Due to financial constraints I havent been able to for a couple of years. While I applaud those that attended last season why not give other fans a chance too

Nice to see the club looking after the fanbase in these bleak times

Are you seriously doing this now? You also need to suspend the season ticket renewal period.

What do we think?
Leeds annoyed some of their fans earlier in the week with a tweet about season ticket renewals and have followed that up with this.
At a time where football is suspended until at least the 30th of April, and some people are struggling to get food due to panic-buying, we feel that this makes the Whites look greedy.
We think that the Leeds fans have every right to be angry about this tweet.
