A lot of Leeds United fans are not happy with a tweet from their club telling them that they have until Friday 27th March to secure their season ticket for next year.
This despite the fact the league is currently suspended due to a viral outbreak – with no one certain when or even if this current season will finish.
The fact that Leeds have therefore asked their fans to commit money towards a season ticket during these uncertain times has not gone down well on Twitter with many Whites fans.
? Time is running out to renew for the next chapter! Secure your seat before Friday 27th March to be part of the 2020/21 season #OnOnOn

I’d blame this on a scheduled tweet and delete this if I was you. Tweeting this in middle of a global crisis when millions will become unemployed is incredibly distasteful

Thought you delay it to be honest, give people self isolating chance to cover there bills etc ????????????

Disgusting message from our club

Guys I’d follow you to the end of the earth, but this is really terrible timing with economic uncertainty facing thousands of people across the city. Please show understanding at this time.

Unbelievable you’re not extending this. People out there under pressure financially because of work and now have to make a decision about potentially losing their season ticket for years or having to fork out £400/700 during constant uncertainty. Poor form @andrearadri

What do we think?
Some Leeds supporters are suggesting that this was a scheduled tweet, and we hope it was because, in our opinion, Leeds should not be asking their fans for money in the current climate.
Has this tweet annoyed you?
Yes, ridiculous decision from the club
Not really bothered
We also believe that the deadline they have set for season ticket renewals should be extended due to the fact no one knows what is going to happen to this season, never mind next.
How can the Whites ask their fans to commit money towards anything with the situation how it is?
