Leeds United striker Ryan Edmondson underwent surgery after sustaining a knee injury during a recent training session. The 18-year-old has made just two appearances for the Whites in the Championship this season and is unlikely to make another appearance this season given he’s expected to be out for around 12 weeks.
The club recently signed Jean-Kevin Augustin on loan for the remainder of the season, which will have pushed the York-born forward even further down the pecking order. However, judging by the responses to his tweet, the Leeds faithful are extremely fond of the England Under-20 international and many have wished him a speedy recovery.
Will Edmondson lead the line for LUFC someday?

What do we think?
The fans have been calling for Marcelo Bielsa to include the young striker far more often than he has – further evidence of his popularity amongst the Leeds faithful.
However, he’s likely to miss the remainder of what could prove to be a historic season for the club, and as disappointing as that will be to a young man making his way in the game, he will need to knuckle down and focus solely on his recovery.
Although, he hasn’t looked like forcing his way into Marcelo Bielsa’s plans, having appeared only twice this season.
